Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Xiaomi is a Chinese manufacturer of many devices that has been gaining popularity in the West recently. It has also officially arrived in Colombia, and although not all its products can be obtained locally, we have online alternatives to acquire its latest launches, as is the case of Redmi Note 3, its most common upper mid-range phablet that wants to compete on price against the flagships of traditional brands.

The Redmi Note 3 has been announced in November 2015 just a few months after the appearance of the Redmi Note 2 (August 2015), and its main focus is competing with beauty in high-end design, introducing an all-metal body for the first time. These changes have come with their sacrifices, because unlike its predecessor that has a plastic body, the Xiamoi Redmi Note 3 does not have a removable battery nor a port to introduce microSD memories.

On the positive side, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 despite having practically the same specifications of the Redmi Note 2, now has a fingerprint sensor located on the back from its case, and a slightly more powerful battery (4000 mAh vs 3060 mAh) that gives you a longer duration of use.

The new aluminum body of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 not only gives it a much more premium appearance, but also gives you a better grip in the hands. Its rounded edges feel great to the touch. Speaking of the design, 2 critical components that have been placed at the rear of the equipment are the fingerprint sensor and the speaker; and despite the fact that the speaker works very well at the back, the fingerprint sensor is something strange at the beginning of use, but in the long run one would end up getting used to it.

Regarding the team’s performance, some Antutu benchmark tests have achieved grades above 49,500 points, which puts it in an excellent position and shows that the Miui 7 is a very good fork of Android 5.1. Multitasking with this equipment is a delight, no lags or slowdowns. Putting it to the test with powerful 3D games is not difficult at all, as it runs them very easily.
