Twitter is experiencing an outage affecting both the main Twitter interface and TweetDeck. The company’s support account acknowledged the problem at 12:26 AM EST today, in a tweet noting that users could experience problems “Tweeting, receiving notifications or viewing DMs.” The Twitter status page has also been updated with details of the problem, classifying the incident as a “partial service outage.”
Personally, I started experiencing problems around 6:00 AM EST when the main Twitter site stopped showing me new tweets. TweetDeck refuses to show me any tweets and keeps trying to refresh the page, while a third-party TweetDeck program, Tweeten, keeps disconnecting me from the service.
