Sony Alpha 200, 10.2 megapixel DSLR camera

It has the noise reduction system and image processing techniques of the Sony Alpha 700, 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor with a new noise reduction circuit, BIONZ image processor to achieve less noise in the image, ISO sensitivity 3200 maximum, flash, six scene selection modes and 2.7-inch LCD screen.

According to the manufacturer, it has Super SteadyShot technology that offers an anti-shake performance of 2.5 – 3.5 stops with all the lenses of the Alpha range, an improved 9-point auto focus (AF) function, and a battery that allows up to 750 shots on a single charge.

Optionally, the new VG-B30AM vertical grip can be incorporated to make it more comfortable to take portraits or landscapes, as well as external flashes, magnifying lenses, angle finder for comfortable macro photography, remote control by cable, etc.

The Alpha 200 Digital SLR model will be available with its 18-70mm lens kit from February 2008. The price of the DSLR-A200 (body) is 600 EUR, the DSLR-A200K kit (body + 18- 70mm) costs € 700, while the DSLR-A200W kit (body + 18-70mm lens + 75-300mm lens) is priced at € 900.
