Safari 3.0.2 beta improves Mail and iChat support

Safari 3.0.2 beta for Mac OS X includes several changes, including the latest security updates, improved application stability, and improved WebKit support for Mail, iChat, and Dashboard.

As indicated in the information provided by Apple, Safari Beta Update 3.0.2 includes the same enhancements as Security Update 2007-006. Among other improvements, the one in charge of correcting the control of access to the properties of the window stands out, so that they can be exploited by the scripts of malicious websites.

A problem related exclusively to the Windows version has also been corrected, which could cause a web page to change the contents of the address bar without loading the contents of that page.

Apple indicates a variety of enhancements that will be incorporated into Safari 3, such as support for international users, international text input methods, advanced text, localized help and menus, and NTLM support among others.
