The new version is responsible for specifically improving applications compiled for Microsoft Vista Home Basic, Microsoft Vista Home Premium, Microsoft Vista Ultimate, Microsoft Vista Business, and Microsoft Vista Enterprise. This update provides a native appearance for Vista’s menus, menu bars, drop-down menus, buttons, fields, scroll bars, labels, forward arrows, and the file selection dialog.
The new development environment update also supports Vista’s security features, including support for its new signed installer process.
The Mac OS X (Universal Binary) and Windows versions of Revolution also include new options for resizing images, improved interaction between the taskbar and the application, as well as other minor enhancements.
The Revolution 2.8 update is available for the Revolution Studio ($ 399) and Revolution Enterprise ($ 999) versions. The update is free for users with an active maintenance plan.
