The software will also respond to one of the most frequent demands of Apple TV users, such as the possibility of converting formats not originally supported by Apple products into a format that can be reproduced through said devices.
Among these unsupported formats are DivX, MPEG-2 and DVD-Video. The application, which will be called Crunch, will also support native QuickTime formats including DV, AVI and MOV.
Other features available in the software include the ability to export in batches and an automation feature where converted content is added to iTunes to allow later syncing with playback devices.
The software will also be able to rip and convert unprotected DVDs and will offer multiple quality settings.
