QuarkXPress Server 7.2 adds new XML options

QuarkXPress Server 7 is intended for system integrators who need to have systems based on variable web-to-print publishing for the creation of advertisements, catalogs, personalized mailings, and creative materials.

Version 7.2 includes XML support that makes QuarkXPress content usable in other systems such as email, the Web, and other content delivery methods. The software supports HTTP, SOAP, .NET, ASP, PHP and JSP, and also includes a Java manager.

The new version also offers the ability to centrally configure additional servers, load balancing, and error reporting. It also incorporates improved output through the use of the Job Jackets feature and supports PowerPC and Intel architecture based Macs.

The system requirements are Mac Pro or Xserve, 8 GB of RAM, 150 GB of available hard disk space, and TCP / IP-based network connection. QuarkXPress Server 7 also requires Mac OS X Server 10.4 and Java J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5.
