QuarkXPress is commonly used in design and publishing courses in academies and training centers as well as in other educational entities, although, until now, the use of the license was limited to the student’s training period; for educational use only.
Now, students can use the same copies of QuarkXPress as they try to make their way into the commercial world of design after completing their training. They can also use the educational copy of QuarkXPress while still in training to create commercial materials.
Students can upgrade to the latest versions of QuarkXPress at the commercial upgrade price, eliminating the need to also purchase a full QuarkXPress license. Students can also use their educational licenses for the Mac or Windows versions of QuarkXPress.
Quark has also announced that the same license change has been applied to students using the Quark Interactive Designer and the Quark Print Collection.
