Quark introduces its upgrade scheme in Europe

Quark has released its latest QuarkAssurance scheme offering an upgrade protection plan and preferential upgrade pricing.

QuarkAssurance complements the recently introduced Quark Volume Licensing Program (QVLP) and is designed to ensure that customers are equipped with the latest version of XPress.

Licensees are entitled to updates and revisions to QuarkXPress for a period of 24 months. License owners will receive automatic notifications, and updates will be available electronically.

Customers can also request validation codes and materials that allow them to install any version of QuarkXPress from QuarkXPress 5 in any combination that their needs require.

The cost of QuarkAssurance is calculated as a percentage of the suggested retail price for an upgrade, keeping in mind that the volume discount is part of the QVLP. Licensees will be notified 90 days before the agreement expires and will have the opportunity to renew the agreement. To maintain coverage, license holders must renew every 24 months at the price applicable at the time of renewal.

To qualify for QuarkAssurance, customers must be using the latest version of QuarkXPress and purchase QuarkAssurance at the same time they purchase the update. Customers can also purchase QuarkAssurance within 90 days of purchasing the upgrade, albeit at a less favorable price.

To ensure that those customers who have already upgraded to QuarkXPress 7 do not miss out on this opportunity, current QuarkXPress 7 users can purchase QuarkAssurance without penalty until March 30, 2007, regardless of when they purchased QuarkXPress 7.
