President Ram Nath Kovind will open the mega international agricultural fair, “CII AgroTech 2018”, on December 1.
The premier four-day bi-annual agro-technology and business fair, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will be held from December 1-4 at Sector 17 Parade Ground, Ajay S Shriram, President, CII Agro Tech 2018. Said here on November 16.
This year’s theme, which is the 13th edition of the fair, is “Technology in agriculture: increasing farmers’ income”.
Shriram, who is the Chairman and Senior Managing Director of DCM Shriram Ltd, said: “The partner country is Great Britain, while the priority countries are Canada and China. This time two special pavilions were added, the Indian States Pavilion and the country pavilions of Canada, China and the United Kingdom, in addition to the participation of Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United States. “
The CII Agro-Tech 2018 exhibition will span an area of 16,000 square meters with 110 exhibitors, which would include 103 national and seven international.
The four-day fair will also have 10 concurrent shows, including Good Earth Expo on agricultural inputs and innovative agricultural techniques and food exhibition.
“An important highlight of the Fair will be the interaction of farmers from the northern states with exhibitors,” said a spokesperson.
International conferences include Diversification of Agriculture, Conference on Harvest for Processing, Integration with the Global Supply Chain, Innovators’ Speech, Global Dialogue on Digital Pathways in Agriculture 2.0, Conference on Burning stubble, conference on improving shelf life of products and additional entrepreneurs workshop.
