the Xiaomi Poco F1 it was a phone that made headlines the instant it was launched. This was due to the fact that the device was offering the flagship Snapdragon 845 SoR for a price starting at just Rs 19,999. This kind of aggressive pricing was practically unheard of in the Indian market, as even OnePlus, the so-called budget king, was pricing its phones at Rs 35,000.
Obviously, Xiaomi is not the one to let the rumor go away around the Poco F1 and General Manager C Manmohan had an announcement to make. He tweeted “The past week has been crazy! #POCOF1 has won awards and appreciation one after another. I have a surprise for all of you. A #NewPOCO is coming. Can you guess when? From what we can see from the tweet, it certainly looks like a new Poco F1 is on the horizon.

But that’s not all, I have a surprise for you all. A #NewPOCO is coming. Can you guess when? 🍾

However, it seems too early, even by Xiaomi’s standards, to launch a successor to a device released in September. Multiple leaks and a tweet from well-known delivery boy Ishan Agarwal point to the fact that Poco will likely release the shielded version of his device for 6GB RAM variants as well. Previously, only the 8GB RAM + 256GB RAM version of the device had this special Kevlar sleeve.
Another exclusive leak by me and @mysmartprice! POCO / Pocophone F1 The 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB storage variants will soon be available on Kevlar Back (which was previously exclusive to the 8GB variant). European markets will receive these first and the Indian launch will also be soon. pic.twitter.com/f8wtsT1agu

In any case, we are likely to be hearing more about Xiaomi’s new development before the year is out.
