Over 1 million Safari browsers have been downloaded for Windows

The beta version of Safari 3 was announced last Monday by Steve Jobs during the WWDC (WorldWide Developers Conference). Apple said that Safari’s performance with iBench HTML is up to two times faster than Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (from 2.2 seconds with Safari to 4.6 seconds with IE). In this same aspect, the iBench Javascript test is completed by Safari in less than a second compared to 2.4 seconds for IE.

Apple has published an update to Safari for Windows that serves to correct various aspects related to the security and stability of the browser. Analysts believe that Apple’s decision to create a version of Safari for Windows was taken to improve the presence of this browser in this market and to introduce Windows developers to what they can develop for the iPhone.
