Olympus E-420, compact D-SLR camera

It has a 10.0 megapixel Live MOS image sensor, Shadow Adjustment technology, face detection system, on-screen preview, 2.7-inch (6.9 cm) LCD screen and according to its manufacturer it is the model Smallest and lightest D-SLR on the market.

Other technical features are: TruePic III Image Processor, shoots 3.5 images per second with up to 8 consecutive RAW images, one-touch white balance, ISO sensitivity of up to 1,600, 49 ESP measurement points, USB 2.0 connectivity and double memory card slot (for xD-Picture Card and CompactFlash). Obviously, it has Olympus’ own supersonic wave filter cleaning system to eliminate dust entering the camera during lens changes.

At the moment its recommended price is unknown, but what has been announced is that it will be available at the end of April and that it will go on sale in the following formats: Olympus E-420 Lens kit (body of the E-420 with Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm 1: 3.5-5.6 lens), Olympus E-420 Double Zoom Kit (E-420 body with Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm 1: 3.5-5.6 and Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm lenses 1: 4.0-5.6), Olympus E-420 Ultra Compact Lens Kit, (E-420 body with Zuiko Digital 25mm 1: 2.8 lens) and Olympus E-420 (body only).
