Manuel Pastor has been the new CEO of IDG Communications in Spain since last October 1. With more than eleven years of experience, Pastor replaces Francisco Zabala, who has been in charge of the company for 22 years. According to Manuel Pastor, the publisher’s strategy for the coming years is “to reinforce the already consolidated position of our specialized publications in the changing Spanish publishing market, in which IDG is currently the leader, as well as to take advantage of the opportunities of growth brought by the Internet, a business area in which our publishing house is a worldwide reference as a provider of specialized IT content ”.
Manuel Pastor is 32 years old and has a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has developed his professional career at the weekly Computerworld and at IDG.es, the direction of which he assumed more than eight years ago and has served successfully until his current appointment as CEO of IDG Communications. The company publishes in Spain the publications Computerworld, PC World, Comunicaciones World, Macworld and Dealer World, as well as the specialized portal IDG.es and the online publications CIO, iWorld, PC World Digital and GameProTV. IDG Communications is the world’s largest publisher specializing in Information Technology and is present in more than 85 countries.
