Apple introduces new 21.5 and 27-inch iMac

MacBook Pro with LED screen for WWDC?

Apple may announce new Macs with LED-backlit displays for summer according to DigiTimes. This news site reports that the new displays could be available from the third quarter of this year and that they could make use of components from AU Optronics, Chi Mei Optoelectronics, Coretonic and Kenmos Technology.

The companies that would supply these screens already have samples of screens with a size of 13.3 and 15.4 inches already tested by Apple, while contacts have already been maintained with the manufacturers of their backlighting.

A second report indicates that the new notebooks, initially MacBook Pro, could be announced on the opening day of WWDC 2007, that is, on June 11.
