iPhone line up

IPhone advertising could help sell many Macs

This is an event that is unprecedented. Since Apple made the public announcement of its all-in-one phone at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, the iPhone, 400 million free ads have been generated around the device, according to Harvard Business School professor David Yoffie, and that publicity is driving many consumers to the Apple Store.

“No other company has ever received such a level of attention for a product launch,” Yoffie stated in USA Today, “It is unprecedented.”

Yoffie believes that the hype around the iPhone ad “will drive people to the Apple Stores.” He also predicts that this same advertising may help sell more iPods, as well as increase Apple’s market share in the personal computer arena.
