iOS apparently has its own swipe-type keyboard

Apple You can bring an Android favorite to iOS at your software developers conference next month. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has posted a big list of little software tweaks that his sources say are coming to iOS at WWDC.

One of the more interesting notes is that Apple is reportedly releasing its own swipe keyboard to iOS, something that has long been supported natively on Android. Users would no longer have to press their keyboards to send text messages and could use the original keyboard to type simply by dragging their finger between letters to form words.

Users desperate for functionality on iOS haven’t had to look as far as has been admitted by adding a third-party keyboard through the App Store and enabling it in settings. We’ll see if Apple has something new to contribute to keyboard mechanics.

WWDC begins June 3.
