In recent years, we have heard people like Samsung, LG, ZTE, NokiaY Microsoft working on his Folding devices. In recent months, we also saw Xiaomi, Oppo and even Apple join this league. However, the last participant in this car is surprising.
According to a patent request, that was the first stained by LetsGoDigital, Intel quietly filed and received a patent related to folding devices in June 2017. This patent was filed under the title ‘Electronic device with folding display panels’ at the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and at the Office of Trademarks and United States Patents (USPTO).
From what the patent describes, this folding device will be a multipurpose machine, which folds in its smallest form to a pocket phone. And from there, the device is deployed three times.
The patent drawings show three use case scenarios for the folding device: a three-sided tent mode with all sides active, a traditional portable mode with an on-screen keyboard, and an e-reader format.
Essentially, the tablet consists of three parts of the screen when unfolded, and each section comes with two cameras, that is, six cameras in all. It also comes with a stylus that slides into the dents formed by the creases and is possibly magnetically held in place.
While this sounds extremely exciting, the report also kills the rumor by saying that the patent can never see the light of day. Here it is waiting for you to do it!
