Huawei Launches Honor Vision TV Series That Will Run …

At the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC 2019) in Dongguan, China, the company unveiled its cross-platform operating system called HarmonyOS. Honor launched the Vision TV series that will be the company’s first product to use the new operating system.

The Honor Vision TV series was announced at the Huawei Developer Conference 2019.

Additionally, the TVs will use its homegrown Honghu 818 chipset, AI camera NPU chipset, and “top-tier” Wi-Fi chip. The Honghu 818 chip has various integrated image processing technologies and has been developed by Honor himself. They include high dynamic range images, super resolution, noise reduction, dynamic contrast enhancement, automatic color management and local dimming. It comes with a pop-up camera that uses the AI ​​camera’s NPU chip capable of face recognition, body tracking, and posture detection. Coming to the Wi-Fi chip, it uses the HiSilicon Hi1103 which claims to be the world’s first chip to support 160 MHz bandwidth with a download speed of up to 1.7 Gbps. The chip supports 2.4 and 5 GHz dual frequency bands.

Huawei finally introduced its open-source, open-source HarmonyOS. At the event, Huawei made it clear that the Harmony OS was not intended to replace Android on smartphones, but was meant to work on various devices with a focus on security. According XDA, Harmony OS is a microkernel-based operating system that is similar to the Fuchsia operating system that Google is working on. Developers will reportedly be able to use Huawei’s ARK Complier to create code from multiple programming languages ​​and build applications for Harmony OS. In the next three years, HarmonyOS will be gradually optimized and adopted in a wider range of smart devices, including wearable devices, Huawei Vision and head units for your car.

The Honor Vision comes with a 55-inch 4K HDR display and almost no bezels on all three sides of the screen, the screen-to-body ratio is as high as 94 percent. There are two variants of the Honor Vision TV series. One comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage priced at CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs 38,200). The other Pro variant has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage priced at CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 48,300).
