HMD Global has started teasing its Nokia 9 PureView as well as an unknown smartphone with a hole-punch screen in China. Teasers have surfaced on Baidu (via Android Pure), and reveal that the new phones will be officially launched at MWC 2019 on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain.
HMD Global Product Director Juho Sarvikas had already tweeted the release date of January 24, but did not confirm which products we will see at the event. The Finnish company is rumored to officially launch the Nokia 9 PureView with five cameras on the rear, as well as the Nokia 6.2, which will feature a perforated screen.
Nokia 9 PureView is expected to carry five Zeiss-certified cameras on the back. The phone may have a Snapdragon 845 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Nokia 9 is also expected to have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 5.99-inch QHD + display.
The second phone goes by the name of Nokia 6.2. It’s likely the company’s first screen phone and the teaser gives it some weight. Nokia 6.2 is expected to have a 6.2-inch screen. The phone can be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 CPU with 4GB / 6GB of RAM.
Aside from these two phones, a recent leak of Tiger mobiles It also suggests that HMD Global could also introduce an entry-level smartphone with 1GB of RAM by the name of Nokia 1 Plus. The specification leak suggests that the phone will be the successor to the original Nokia 1 Android Go smartphone.
The MWC will start in Barcelona on February 25 and will continue until February 28.
