Google Desktop adds support for Leopard

In addition to adding support for Leopard, Google Desktop also allows indexing of drives when Spotlight has been disabled. Additionally, Desktop no longer attempts to index PGP disks, Time Machine will no longer create backups of Desktop indexes, Desktop will no longer search Time Machine backups, and the Desktop preferences panel supports the search feature by the keystroke contemplated by System Preferences for various settings.

In the new version, some architecture improvements have also been applied. Google has removed some dependencies on Spotlight, the use of input wizards, and the use of files in / System.

Google Desktop is available as a free download from the company’s website.
