About a month ago I told you about how-old.net a site created by Microsoft to promote its new Azure development technology, which allows determining the age of a person by means of a photo that is provided. Azure allows you to create applications with great speed, in fact to demonstrate that their facial recognition API has more to offer, they have created a new portal with the aim of making it viral and giving Azure a boost. It’s about TwinsOrNot.net
TwinsOrNot.net tells you if you have a missing twin
The page developed according to Mat Velloso’s blog in just four hours is a sample of how quickly applications can be built with Azure. TwinsOrNot.net takes two provided photos showing the faces of two people, and compares them to determine how similar they are on a scale of 0 to 100.
If the 2 people who appear in the photos are similar enough, the portal will even dare to suggest that they are related. Well, it may not be very accurate most of the time, but at least it is a very fun application to find out how similar you are to that famous actor or actress that people tell you you look like.
By the way, there is no need to worry about what Microsoft plans to do with your photos, since they are discarded as soon as you leave the application. now to have a little fun, hope you have as much fun as me with this:
