Finale SongWriter 2007 is Now Universal

Finale SongWriter 2007 allows you to write music using the mouse keyboard, a MIDI keyboard, or by importing MIDI files. It allows you to create a score, MP3 files and send the MP3 files by email to other people.

You can click on the notes of the composition to hear their pitch, drag them down or up to find the desired pitch, add lyrics with multiple stanzas, change the beats, transpose the composition to a different key, type the name of a chord and view the corresponding position in the guitar storage room, select drum loops, add automatic harmonies and check the sound of more than 128 instruments.

Universal binary support is added in this release, so it works natively on both PowerPC-based Macs and Intel architecture. A coda generator system has also been added, “textured paper” to give a more realistic look to the scores, real-time control for pan and volume, customizable reverb, improved playback controls, and import and export of music in format. XML among other features.

The minimum requirements are a Mac with a G4 processor or higher, Mac OS X 10.3.9, a CD or DVD drive, a resolution of 800 x 600, 256 MB of RAM and 200 MB of free hard disk space. MIDI connection is optional. The price of a license is $ 49.95.
