Finale 2008 is aimed at musicians, songwriters, enthusiasts and teachers who want to turn their ideas into music. The software allows you to record these ideas using musical notation as well as listen to the results using any of the hundreds of instruments included.
The 2008 edition incorporates a number of new features, including the ability to record or import a monophonic or stereo sound file, the addition of virtual instruments from the Garritan Personal Orchestra (for a total of more than 250), shortcuts keyboard to select beats or specific parts in horizontal and vertical directions; as well as the ScoreMerger feature that allows you to combine parts of a composition as well as join multiple compositions and movements in a single document.
