Films will hit European iTunes this year

Apple plans to put movies on sale through the iTunes Store in Europe, something that can already be done elsewhere, this year as confirmed by the company’s vice president in Europe, Pascal Cagni. This information was made public during an interview with the French newspaper “Les Echos” this week.

Cagni also confirmed that Apple could launch the iPhone in Europe in the fourth quarter of this year, as well as that they plan to open an Apple Store in Paris this year. He also revealed that Apple wants to have around 70 points of sale within large stores before the end of the year.
