FileCatalyst 2.0 speeds up file sharing

FileCatalyst 2.0 is designed for creative users, such as video editors, who require the exchange of large files on a regular basis. The solution supports point-to-point and multicast file transfers.

The developer, UnlimiTech Software, indicates that the software can speed up file transfers by up to 50 times compared to file sharing over TCP. The developer also indicates that the software will offer a transfer rate between two and three times higher than the speed provided by the line.

The software exploits an acceleration technology for file sharing and uses automation software to troubleshoot latency and packet loss.

Users can send and get files and even entire directories taking advantage of the SSL and AES security feature support. The platform-independent solution offers automatic port activation and authentication.
