The game arises from the latest collaboration between the Paradox Interactive company and Virtual Programming, in it the players immerse themselves in the time of year 1453, where they are challenged to explore the world, trade with other world powers, enter into war conflicts and even display diplomatic skills to have the most advantageous position during the game.

Europa Universalis III covers a period of 300 years, from the middle of the 15th century to the end of the 18th century. It allows the player to choose his own form of government, the structure of his society, trade policy and many more social factors. It also allows you to consult the data of historical characters to help you bring the game to fruition, such as Isaac Newton, Mozart or René Descartes. There are over 1000 historical leaders and over 4000 historical monarchs from whom you can draw on their expertise.

It has a 3-D graphic engine that allows to have scenarios modeled in detail, more than 100 different units for combat, collaborative multiplayer mode, online play (both locally and through the Internet) and designer of new scenarios.

The minimum requirements for this game are Mac OS X v10.3.9 or higher; Intel or PowerPC G5 processor; GeForce 5200, Radeon 9600, GMA 950 or better graphics card with at least 64MB of video memory; 700 MB of free hard disk space; and broadband connection for Internet gaming and Internet connection for registration.
