This integration expands the compression options available in Final Cut Studio by offering a greater number of encoding formats and settings for audio and video, including Flash 8, Windows Media, VC-1, and mobile formats. It also provides access to specific broadcast formats such as GXF, IMX, MPEG-2 4: 2: 2, and high profile H.264.
Dan Castles, CEO of Telestream, states that “direct integration with Apple’s Compressor software reinforces the power of our Episode Series encoding applications. Episode allows direct access to virtually any available video format and allows Final Cut Pro users to export files directly from the Final Cut Pro edit line. “
Episode offers a wide support for file formats ranging from SD to HD qualities; as well as optimized codecs, hundreds of filters and compression setting options aimed at making it easier for users to generate high-quality video with blazing-fast conversion speeds.
Episode 4.3.1 now includes Dashboard widgets in all Episode products, providing an easy way to submit coding jobs and simplifying workflows.
Episode Series 4.3.1 is a free update for current users of the product. Episode desktop encoding applications are available from the developer’s website, with license prices starting at $ 395.
