Apple has announced its plans to support AJAX as the way to create software for the iPhone. The developers have been divided on whether this is the best option or not.
Some are disappointed by the absence of a real SDK for the iPhone, but Apple CEO Steve Jobs has indicated that the use of Web 2.0 standards allows developers to create software for the product while maintaining the product reliability and safety.
Backbase also plans to release widgets and other software components designed for the iPhone.
