Apple updates Common Criteria Tools for Leopard

Common Criteria Tools for 10.5 has a download size of 103 kb and Apple describes it as: “An international standard that helps ensure the security of computer systems in a network environment.”

The Common Criteria is an internationally approved set of security standards that provides a clear and reliable assessment of the security capabilities of information technology products. This is achieved through an independent assessment of the product’s ability to meet security regulations, Common Criteria provides the customer with greater confidence in the security of information technology products and allows them to make more informed decisions. Customers concerned about safety, such as the United States Federal Government, require the Common Criteria certificate as a determining factor in making purchasing decisions.

Apple has published a selection of resources and information to support Common Criteria, including administrative guides and white papers, many of which are available from here.
