The AirPort update also solves a security problem that could be exploited so that network attackers could cause system crashes. According to information posted by Apple on its website, a nearby attacker could crash the system by sending a malformed block of data to the attacked system.
This security issue affects the Core Duo version of the wireless-equipped Mac mini, MacBook, and MacBook Pro. All other systems, including Core 2 Duo computers, are not affected.
The update is available from Apple’s support area or through the Software Update feature of Mac OS X.
