The latest version of the software, which is available as a free download for use and evaluation, will be part of the next version of the Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) operating system, and includes important updates.
In addition to support for 32-bit versions of Windows Vista, the new beta version of Boot Camp also includes the update of a good number of drivers, for the trackpad, AppleTime, audio, graphics, modem and iSight camera.
Boot Camp also offers support for the Apple Remote, which can now be used from Windows Media Player and iTunes for Windows. Online help and documentation has also been improved.
Other additional features are the inclusion of an icon in the system bar that facilitates access to information and various actions on Boot Camp; as well as improved keyboard support for Korean, Chinese, Swiss, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Russian and Canadian French, as well as an “improved Windows driver installation experience.”
