The iM600 comes with a built-in FM receiver, remote control, and rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It offers an output power of 16 watts, and includes the “SFX Sound Field Expander” feature by which the sound field is expanded. The speakers are constructed of two two-inch units. The iM600 also features auxiliary input, bass output, video output, and mini USB connections.
A wireless remote control offers iPod navigation functions and speaker controls allowing you to tune in to different FM stations and use four FM presets. The iPod plugs into a cradle that can be opened or kept folded for transport. The iM600 is also supplied with a power adapter.
Altec Lansing has also announced two other inMotion products for the iPod that will be available this spring; the M812, a wireless sound system equipped with four-inch speakers and 1-inch tweeters, an FM tuner and support for three additional speakers; and the iMV712, an interface for the iPod video that includes an 8.5-inch LCD panel, speakers, and a built-in subwoofer.
