Adobe will release two different versions of Photoshop CS3

Both the Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended editions will be formally introduced on March 27, 2007, as part of the launch of the new Creative Suite 3, and the software is scheduled to be available in spring 2007.

More uses with Photoshop CS3 Extended

According to Adobe, with Photoshop CS3 Extended, film, video and multimedia professionals and graphic designers and web designers can harness the power of Photoshop’s image editing tools when editing 3-D content and animations. Film and video specialists can view 3-D models and edit textures, paint, and copy across multiple frames of video. Animators can now render and add 3-D content to their 2D compositions. Graphic designers and web designers can create an animation from a series of images and export it to a wide variety of formats such as QuickTime, MPEG-4, and FlashVideo.
