According to Ableton, Live 7 includes enhancements to the audio engine, such as 64-bit mixing, new and improved devices with serial chaining capabilities, as well as better MIDI timing and hardware integration. Some signature changes, video export, as well as multiple avenues of automation have also been added.
Live 7 will also see a new addition to the app called Drum Rack. Ableton notes that this new feature makes it easier to produce drums through the use of a drag and drop interface, as well as offering native support for the REX file format.
Available in the fourth quarter of 2007, Live 7 will be priced at $ 499. The Ableton Suite, which includes Live 7 and a collection of instruments, will be priced at $ 599.
