The co-founder of Yahoo, Jerry Yang, has decided to leave the position of CEO of the company, which he acceded in June 2007, and will resume his previous position as “Chief Yahoo” (head of the portal) once they have found a replacement. In addition, Yang will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.
Jerry Yang has suffered a lot of pressure from the company’s shareholders in recent months, 
primarily due to Microsoft’s proposed purchase. It should be remembered that the software giant offered 33 dollars per share to its rival on the Internet, but Yang declined the price because it was too low.
Since February, there have been several episodes of this soap opera that two weeks ago took a new turn by offering Yang himself to be bought by Microsoft; a proposal that Steve Ballmer, CEO of the software firm, said he lost all interest in.
This offer by Yang came shortly after Google gave up its initial agreement with Yahoo on advertising, under pressure from regulatory authorities.
