Basically Entering the BIOS of your PC is as easy as starting the computer and while doing so, press the X button several times to enter the BIOS. As of today in Windows 10 this changed slightly. It is still quite easy to enter the BIOS but it may have a few turns that you should know before doing so.
Surely you restarted the computer and pressing the button to enter the BIOS absolutely nothing happens. This actually happens because Windows 10 does not 100% restart the PC, precisely to do it faster. But this has a price and it is precisely not being able to enter the BIOS. Although there are ways to solve it so do not worry.
Turn off the computer
The easiest way to do this is by far by turning off the computer completely and then turning it back on. In this way when you turn it on again you will be able to enter the BIOS of the PC without any kind of problem by pressing the corresponding key.
You must bear in mind that it is necessary to turn it off completely. There is no use restarting, suspending, or putting the computer into hibernation. There are even a few laptops that have some technology to quickly start Windows and even by turning off the PC you cannot enter the BIOS.
An unusual reboot
We are going to restart the computer, but first we must make a few modifications. For this we are going to go to start and then click on “Setting” (the gear-shaped icon).
A new window of “Windows Settings”. Let’s go to the last part that says “Update and security”.
In the next window you have to go to the option “Recovery”Found in the menu on the left. Now simply click on the button that says “Restart now”. This kind of reset is not like any other as it will show you a menu that you have possibly never seen before.
You will see a menu with a blue background and a few options. The one that really interests us is “Solving problems.”
After this, all we have to do is enter “Advanced Options”.
Now you have to choose the last option found at the bottom right “UEFI firmware settings”. In short, it is a reboot in order to enter the firmware configuration that would become the BIOS.
So once it restarts you can see that somewhere on the screen the key you have to press to enter the BIOS should appear. In many cases it is F10, DEL, F12. In a few words, the ideal is that you read since at the moment the computer starts up, a small legend should appear with the specific key that you must press.
If you don’t know which key is what you can do is search in Google “Brand of your computer + BIOS”And look at the results.
Another advice we give you is that, if you know what key it is, as soon as the computer is restarting, start pressing the key several times without stopping since in case you wait or take too long, the opportunity to enter the BIOS may pass.
In case everything is correct you will be able to enter the BIOS without any kind of problem. Remember that it is essential that you know how to handle everything that the BIOS can offer you since if you configure something wrongly, you can end up ruining your computer. So you have to be very careful in this regard.
