Twitter offers the Lists feature

The social network announced the Lists at the beginning of October, although it was this week when it began to implement it, in beta, to users. In fact, during the first days, Twitter only enabled this utility to a small group of users with whom to test.

Nick Kallen, director of this project, explains that this new function is intended to facilitate the creation of groups by users, so that they can organize the people they follow by categories, such as friends, colleagues, experts, celebrities, etc. twitter

Although the lists can be private, by default they are public, allowing other users to subscribe to any other user’s list in which they are interested.

Ezra Gottheil, an analyst at Technology Business Research, sees the Twitter Lists as a major improvement. “It is a step forward that many people were waiting for. Based on the people I follow, I can check matters such as what is said about any topic in which I am interested ”and he considers that it opens the door to a better management of contacts and that it will allow each user to choose more people of interest to whom to follow.
