According to Apple, the installation of version 1.1.1 of iBooks allows a better visualization of the images and improves the general performance of the application when handling PDF files, as more significant additions. The full list of new features, in detail, are:
- You can press twice on an image to see it larger
- Greater interactivity with books with audio and video
- Substantial improvements in the performance of the application’s PDF reader
- Search for definitions of English words within some books that have not specified the language
- Fixed an issue that prevented a book download from completing
- App performance and stability improvements are included
