The Song of the Week premieres with one of the most exciting moments of Dirty Bailarina, Mala Rodríguez’s new album. In her continuous search to fuse Hip Hop with other genres, such as Soul, dance R&B or Electronic, the woman from Cádiz has put herself in the hands of Focus, occasional producer of Dr. Dre or Eminem. The result is songs like “Yo no mato el tiempo”, with careful acoustic arrangements that coexist with always surprising samples. All this at the service of a voice that, even showing more melodic registers than usual, does not therefore renounce speech or the ways of a rapper.
