The popular online video and image sharing service Flickr has launched a new application specially designed to be used with the iPod touch and iPhone. The mobile version of Flickr offers users the ability to share photos on the go, with the ability to integrate geo-positioning into photos, and is an easy way to view updates to friends and family’s photo sets, as well as search of images and making comments.
Flickr was developed by Ludicorp and launched in February 2004. In March 2005 Yahoo! bought Ludicorp and with it Flickr. According to Wikipedia, Flickr stores more than 3.6 billion images as of June 2009.
The application is already available from the Apple App Store and is completely free, for its correct operation you need an iPod touch or iPhone with iPhone 3.0 or higher software.
