Based on the Gecko 1.9 rendering platform, Firefox 3 incorporates a large number of new features, from security to ease of use. The Gecko engine alone has received more than 14,000 updates in recent years.
Firefox incorporates better support for passwords, a simplified extension system, one-click website information, tagging, auto-completion, smart bookmarks folders, new font and graphics handling, as well as improved performance among other changes.
