Facebook threatens Google’s reign

Facebook just marked a milestone. And it is that the social network has surpassed, for the first time in history, Google in terms of number of visits in the United States. The period corresponds to the week between March 6 and 13. During these seven days, the search engine managed to increase its quota by 185 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the case of Google, the increase it experienced was nine percent. It should be noted that only Facebook and Google accounted for 14 percent of total visits in the United States, a percentage that is divided as follows: 7.07 percent for Facebook, and 7.03 percent for Google.

These data represent, according to various experts, “a great victory for Facebook”, which could see both the number of companies that want to invest in advertising on their website and the number of people who want to be part of “something important” increase.

Finally, it should be noted that behind Facebook and Google have been Yahoo Mail, Yahoo and YouTube.
