Epson launches Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 large format printers

Epson announces the launch of the 24-inch Stylus Pro 7900 and 44-inch Stylus Pro 9900. Both models use an improved ink formulation, and a new 2880 dpi printing mechanism and speed of 40 m2 / h that are, according to the manufacturer, ideal for contract proofing, as well as for artistic and photographic applications of the maximum quality. It also enables printers to test for packaging. In addition, the optional Epson SpectroProoferTM calibration and verification system enables the Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 to be used as powerful options for remote testing. Additionally, both models use a new 11-color Epson UltraChromeTM HDR pigment ink.

The optional Epson SpectroProofer tool makes the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 a reliable proof verification and printer calibration option, depending on the manufacturer, while also allowing remote proofing. Using the spectrophotometer, color control workflows can be performed automatically.

Other new technologies included in the Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 models include the possibility of automatically switching between photographic and matte black inks, an automatic paper cutting system using a rotating blade, a new shaftless roll support mechanism, a new automatic paper release mechanism and new Epson automatic nozzle check technology. In addition, the launch of the two new printers also includes the appearance of a new range of high-performance artistic media, as well as backlight media for backlighting.
