Emtec has announced its first Full HD multimedia recorder (1080p) from the Movie Cube family. The Movie Cube S120H is a multimedia hard disk that will be available in three capacities: 500 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB and that has two USB ports to expand the capacity with external hard drives, or access the contents of flash memory drives or digital cameras.
The S120H has a wired network connection (10/100 Ethernet) and is compatible with the Emtec Wi300 WiFi to add wireless connectivity (802.11n). Connection to the TV can be made via HDMI or YUV connections. As for the sound, it has a DTS and Dolby Digital decoder and offers 5.1 sound with any coaxial or optical connection.
In addition, Emtec has also presented the Movie Cube S800H, the most complete model in the Movie Cube range, which has a TV tuner and allows you to program the recording of the programming, using the program guide. It also offers FullHD playback and is manufactured in capacities ranging from 500GB to 2TB.
The 500GB Movie Cube S120H is priced at € 179, while the Movie Cube S800H will cost between € 229 and € 399.
