The ColorEdge CG242W offers a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 (with a 16:10 aspect ratio), a maximum brightness of 270 cd / m2, a contrast ratio of 1,100: 1, a viewing angle of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically and a response time of 6 ms. It has 16-bit internal processing for smooth viewing of grayscale tones, 3 USB 2.0 ports (1 in and 2 out), DisplayPort and DVI-I ports for connecting two Macs, and includes visor to isolate the screen from ambient light.

It features a wide gamut panel that reproduces 97 percent of the Adobe RGB color space often used in digital photography and print jobs. It also reproduces color spaces used in broadcasting, such as PAL / SECAM, SMPTE-C, and High Definition television. It offers hardware calibration, the monitor is calibrated independently of the Mac graphics card, contrary to what happens with software calibration. This ensures that no tones are lost in the calibration process and provides more accurate colors.
