Now it is possible to access the web page where the main features that will be offered in said version are indicated.
Without substantially modifying the characteristics of the current Leopard, on which it sits, Snow Leopard will focus on providing standard integration with Microsoft Exchange 2007, offering support for such Microsoft technology directly in Apple’s Mail, Calendar and iCal applications.
The future version of the operating system will also increase the current 64-bit support, allowing the addition of the theoretical amount of 16 TB of RAM, in addition to the release of “Grand Central”, a set of new technologies that provides support for Leopard on multicore systems so that the assignment of tasks and processes is optimized optically both to the different cores and to each of the processors.
Snow Leopard will also introduce QuickTime X, a platform with optimized support for the latest codecs and the most efficient media playback.
Finally OpenGL will be another of the technologies on which Snow Leopard will put the accent.
