The sales estimates for the iPad carried out by Gene Munster, an analyst at Piper Jaffray, have been surprising, and indicate that Apple could have sold almost 700,000 units. Prior to the launch of the iPad, the figures that were handled pointed to between 200,000 to 300,000 units. At the moment Apple has not confirmed these figures, but everything indicates that the launch could not have gone better.
While waiting for the iPad to be available in the rest of the world, the estimated sales figures in the United States appear to be very good. Now it only remains for it to begin to be acquired in more countries and with it, to be able to draw much clearer conclusions.
