This prototype of the iPhone 13 comes with a USB-C port and no notch

The iPhone 12 has not yet been released (expected in the fall of this year), but rumors have already begun to circulate about the iPhone 13, which should arrive in 2021. Now, a video of one of the first has come to light. prototypes.

The video has been posted by Macotakara and in it we mainly see two novelties in the design of the smartphone Apple: the 5.5 ”iPhone 13 does not have notch on the screen and replace the Lightning charging port with a USB-C port.

It appears that it is a 3D printed model, which they would have had access to through an Alibaba source. Obviously, we have to be careful and understand that, as always and especially so far in advance, it is only hearsay.

As with all manufacturers of smartphones, Apple makes many different prototypes and designs for its upcoming devices. Maybe the iPhone 13 is true, but that does not mean that the final product will be like this.

According to Macotakara, the 5.5 “model would have the same dimensions as the rumored 5.4” iPhone 12, which would confirm the elimination of the notch, something that would allow to increase the size of the screen a bit.

In fact, the same video that you can see below shows a comparison between these two prototypes, the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13. So you can also see the difference in the camera modules, although the 13 is still under development .

If the deletion of the notch, that would mean that Apple is working on a front camera under the screen, where we would also find Face ID technology. This seems to be the new trend in the industry after notches, holes, and retractable cameras.

On the other hand, the decision to include a USB-C port would be a big change for the iPhone, which in recent years has worked with the Lightning. Apple has already moved to USB-C on its iPad Pros, but it is rumored that it is not yet ready to do so with the iPhone 12. Will it do so in 2021?
