IPhone 5c has attracted nearly half of Samsung, LG phone users and other competing phone manufacturers, according to a study by Kantar Worldpanel ComTech firm.
Despite the fact that the vast majority of us expected an iPhone model much cheaper than the one that was finally launched, considered as low cost, Manzana would be reaping success among users of other mobile platforms, especially those coming from Android.
Currently it is possible to acquire the iPhone 5c associated with very varied rates of the main operators, being the most attractive those of 99 euros. Some like Movistar contemplate the possibility of acquiring it for 0 euros, but associated with a flat rate contract that rises to 35 euros per month. Either way, it is a phone that in free mode it has a price of 599 euros the most basic model of 16 GB, with performance characteristics and features very similar to those already offered by the iPhone 5.
According to the CNet newspaper, the director of strategy for Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, Dominic Sunnebo, “at least half of the new owners of iPhone 5c come from brands considered to be Apple’s competitors, especially from Samsung and LG, compared to 80 percent of iPhone 5s owners who previously owned a previous generation iPhone model.
Sunnebo is another consulting firm cited by CNet and which reveals from a study that the average iPhone 5c customer is 38 years old with a lower purchasing power than those who purchase the iPhone 5s, of course.
Worldwide, the new iPhone 5c and 5s have shown a rebound in what to the acquisition of iOS products from Manzana refers to previous months. Market share is still lower than when the company introduced iPhone 5, something logical if we take into account that users tend to respond better when the product presented is a totally new model, something that the current ones have maintained with a similar design and screen size.
